# arXiv

> Read and share open-access scholarly research

arXiv is a free, open-access archive for sharing and reading scholarly research. It covers physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics. Readers can browse new submissions by subject, search titles, authors, and abstracts, or look up a paper directly using its arXiv identifier. Article pages provide abstracts and downloadable papers, with additional formats available when supplied by the author.

Researchers can submit manuscripts without a publication fee and upload revised versions as their work develops. Subject email subscriptions and RSS feeds help readers follow new research, while API access supports tools built around the archive. Submissions undergo moderation for relevance and scholarly value, but arXiv does not provide peer review, so readers should assess each paper on its own evidence.
