# BlankOut

> Remove sensitive details from document photos on your device

BlankOut is an Android app for removing sensitive information from document photos before sharing them. It automatically hides personal details on the device, helping someone prepare an image for an AI assistant or another recipient without sending the original document to a cloud redaction service.

The app works offline and can also strip GPS and EXIF information from photos. This is useful when asking for help with a document while keeping unrelated identifying details and location metadata out of the shared image. Users can prepare the edited photo locally, then share the version containing the information the recipient actually needs.
