# Bruno

> An API client that stores request collections in Git

Bruno is an API client that stores request collections as files on the developer's computer. Put those files beside application code in a Git repository, then review changes through the same branches and pull requests used for the project. A local collection does not require a hosted workspace account.

Requests use variables and authentication settings, with scripts and tests to inspect responses. CLI tools run collections in the terminal or continuous integration, while the VS Code extension brings requests into the editor. The collection remains a set of reviewable files as a developer changes a request, adds a test, and shares the update through the repository.
