Checkly monitors APIs and web applications with scheduled checks. Teams can validate endpoint responses or run a browser journey such as login, signup, or checkout. Playwright tests can become production monitors, with checks defined in TypeScript, stored in a repository, and deployed alongside an application.

Alerts notify the responsible team when a check fails. Traces and investigation tools supply context for reviewing the failure, including automated analysis. Heartbeat monitoring follows scheduled jobs or backups, while status pages communicate service availability. Tags can promote selected tests from the development process into the production monitoring schedule.
