# Codefresh

> Container-based CI pipelines with shared state and live debugging

Codefresh CI builds continuous-integration pipelines from container-based steps. Teams combine conditional logic, parallel work, and approval stages, reusing steps from a marketplace or writing their own. Flexible triggers control how those pipelines start.

A shared volume passes files and state between steps or runs, while distributed caching supports repeated builds. Live debugging pauses a pipeline at a breakpoint so engineers can inspect variables, run commands, and try changes in the execution context. Secret-manager integrations supply credentials to the steps that need them. Pipeline definitions and reusable steps keep these controls attached to the build process.
