# CopyQ

> Search, edit and organize clipboard history across desktop applications

CopyQ keeps clipboard content after a newer copy replaces it. Store text, HTML, images, and other formats in tabs, then search or filter the history to retrieve an earlier item. Entries can be edited, reordered, tagged, or given notes before being pasted elsewhere.

Global shortcuts and tray controls bring the collection into work in other applications. Command-line tools and scripting automate more specialized uses, while rules can ignore content from selected windows or text patterns. The open-source app runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. A frequently reused snippet can stay organized in a tab while temporary copies continue to enter the history.
