# Cue

> Start Mac focus sessions when you put on your headphones

Cue uses supported headphones as a switch for focus sessions on an Apple Silicon Mac. Putting them on can activate a Focus mode, block selected distracting sites, and start a timer; removing them starts a break. Different profiles can hold their own block lists, session cycles, playlists, and optional Slack status settings.

The app presents timers, media controls, and other information near the screen's notch, with animated companions that react to work and breaks. Users configure the system permissions needed for the features they enable. Cue is free and requires macOS 14 or later. The official download is currently described as not yet notarized by Apple, a detail users should check when evaluating installation. Supported headphone behavior and integrations may vary.
