# Ecosia

> Everyday web search that helps fund climate projects.

Ecosia is a search engine whose business funds climate action, especially tree planting. You enter a query and browse results much as you would with another web search service. Advertising alongside those results provides income when people click the ads; the company's profits support its environmental projects. Monthly financial reports explain the income and spending.

You can use Ecosia directly on the web, choose it as your browser's default search engine, or use its mobile apps. It suits people who want their regular browsing routine to support that work and who want to inspect how the search business spends its money.
