# Focusmate

> Book a video coworking session and work alongside an accountability partner

Focusmate pairs you with another person for a scheduled video session while you each work on your own task. You begin by greeting your partner and stating what you plan to do, spend the session working independently, and check in again at the end. It can be used for studying, desk work, or practical tasks around the home.

You can choose a session length, synchronize bookings with your calendar, and favorite partners you would like to work alongside again. Calls run in a desktop or mobile browser. The appointment and shared check-in give structure to a task you have been meaning to start.
