> Compact keyboards designed around a distinctive layout and typing feel

Happy Hacking Keyboard, or HHKB, is a family of compact keyboards built around a distinctive typing layout. The reduced arrangement places controls close to the main typing area, including a relocated Control key. Professional models use Topre capacitive switches, while other products in the range provide different switch and input configurations.

The catalog includes several connection methods, keycap options, and model variations rather than one fixed specification. Writers, developers, and other frequent typists can compare the layout and controls with their existing habits. The small footprint also suits desks or travel setups where the keyboard needs to fit alongside other equipment.
