# Islet

> Bring music controls and useful status updates into the Mac notch

Islet turns the notch on a compatible Mac into a compact place for controls and status information. Music playback, album artwork, and audio output selection sit alongside volume and brightness feedback, reducing the need to open separate settings windows. The interface can also show upcoming calendar events, weather, and a tray for moving files between tasks.

Users choose which features appear through individual toggles. Available functions include charging and Bluetooth connection notices, a Focus indicator, download progress, timers, and meeting controls for supported calls. Quick notes can be saved into an Obsidian vault. Islet requires a Mac with a notch and offers a trial for checking how the interface fits a particular workflow.
