# Kanopy

> Watch films and documentaries through a participating library or university.

Kanopy streams films and series through participating public libraries and universities. Viewers use their library card or institutional login to access the collection. It includes independent films, documentaries, international cinema, classics, and educational material without advertising.

Supported televisions, phones, tablets, and web browsers provide different ways to watch. The institution funds access, and its arrangement determines the available catalog and viewing allowance. A viewer can browse the collection associated with their library or university, select a title, and watch on a supported device using that institutional account.
