# LaunchBar

> Launch apps and run Mac actions from the keyboard

LaunchBar opens a command interface on a Mac through a keyboard shortcut. Typing a few letters finds an application, document, contact, or bookmark, with actions available for the selected result. Users can browse folders, move or rename files, search the web, and calculate expressions.

Clipboard history retrieves earlier copies, and snippets insert repeated text. Custom script-based actions turn recurring sequences into commands. Indexing rules bring in material such as Finder tags, reminders, recent documents, Safari reading items, and Shortcuts. Themes change the interface's appearance while keyboard selection keeps search and actions available through the same launcher.
