# Lume

> Capture notes from a floating shelf on your Windows desktop

Lume keeps a note-taking shelf close to the edge of your Windows desktop. Bring it forward with a gesture or shortcut to capture a thought, revisit a card, or continue a sketch. Boards and folders organize smaller pieces, while a larger editor combines text, lists, code, and ink on the same surface.

A scratchpad supports quick calculations and snippets, and drawings can stay with the surrounding note as you rearrange it. The free version keeps a limited collection of notes; paid options unlock a larger workspace and additional formats, drawing tools, and OneDrive synchronization. Lume is intended for people who want to move between a brief capture and more developed notes without leaving their desktop workflow.
