# NitroMTA

> Run a self-hosted email delivery engine with an SES-compatible API

NitroMTA lets a team deliver application email from servers and sending addresses it controls. Its interface is compatible with the Amazon SES v2 API, so an application that already uses that interface can point its client at a different endpoint. The operator configures the sending domains and IP addresses, then manages delivery on their own infrastructure.

A local capture workflow gives developers a way to inspect messages during setup before sending real mail. NitroMTA is written in Rust and published under the Apache license, with installation instructions and a changelog for operators maintaining their own deployment.
