# NothingHere

> Use one Mac shortcut to hide windows, mute audio, and open a chosen app or file.

NothingHere is a macOS utility that groups several screen privacy actions into one keyboard shortcut. When triggered, it hides or minimizes visible windows, mutes system audio, and opens a file or application selected during setup. Users choose the key combination and configure the destination in advance.

An application whitelist lets selected windows remain visible when the shortcut runs. Optional Guard Mode appears in the menu bar and can trigger the configured actions when a key is pressed while armed. The free, open-source app requires macOS 15 or later and offers a compact way to prepare a screen for an unexpected interruption.
