# Quartz

> Organize Gmail and draft replies with AI running locally on your Mac

Quartz is a Mac email client that connects to Gmail and uses local AI to organize messages and draft replies. It groups mail by importance, giving important conversations more space while collapsing lower-priority categories. Users define what matters, and the classification adapts over time to their choices.

For replies, Quartz combines a few user-provided bullet points with the thread's context and the user's writing style. Classification and drafting run on an Apple Silicon Mac rather than sending email content to an external AI provider. Available in public beta, the app is aimed at people who want a more focused inbox and assistance with routine replies while keeping that processing on their device.
