# Resurf

> Keep notes, links and research files in a local context library

Resurf is a local library for notes, bookmarks, screenshots, and PDFs. Capture material from a Mac, browser, or mobile device, then organize it into spaces and tags around a project or topic. A reader, Markdown editor, and PDF tools help keep saved sources and personal notes together.

Search works across written content and text in screenshots, with optional AI features for summaries and semantic retrieval. Users can supply their own model provider or use a local model, while the library remains stored in files they control. MCP and command-line access let compatible agents search and read the same context when helping with research, writing, or another project.
