# Retold

> Turn spoken family memories into illustrated films and storybooks

Retold preserves a spoken story as an illustrated film and a storybook. Someone records a family memory, bedtime tale, or everyday anecdote, and the app pairs that original voice with drawings in a child's sketchbook style. The timing retains the storyteller's pauses and expression rather than replacing their voice with narration.

The resulting storybook lets listeners tap a page to hear the corresponding part of the recording. Finished films can be shared as videos, and a family shelf keeps stories together with a timeline. The iPhone app includes an initial allowance of personal stories, with an optional subscription for creating more. It gives families a way to keep how a person tells a story alongside the memory itself.
