# rstream File Sharing

> Share encrypted files from a terminal with expiring links

rstream File Sharing transfers files or folders from a terminal through a temporary download link. Its shell and PowerShell scripts compress and encrypt content locally before uploading it, so the service receives encrypted bytes. Recipients can open the resulting link in a browser, where decryption happens locally before the file is saved.

The tool supports transfers up to one gigabyte and removes stored files after 24 hours. Creating an upload command does not require an account, and each generated upload link is single-use with a short expiry. The browser code and terminal scripts are available for inspection, helping users review the transfer process before running it.
