# Smuggl

> Share a local development server through a temporary link with request approval.

Smuggl is a command-line tool for sharing a local development server through a temporary web address. After starting the client, a developer receives a link that forwards approved requests to localhost. Incoming requests show the visitor address and requested path, allowing the host to allow or block access while a preview is running.

The connection uses a WebSocket tunnel, and closing the client ends the shared URL. This provides a practical workflow for showing unfinished work, testing callbacks, or inviting a colleague into a local preview. Clients are available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Free and paid licenses have different session, bandwidth, and concurrency limits.
