> Play virtual instruments and control MIDI with hand gestures

Sonari is a Mac music instrument that turns movements captured by a camera into sound and MIDI. Raising a hand can change pitch, opening the fingers can shape a note, and different playing styles turn the same gestures into instruments such as a theremin, piano, guitar, or drum pad. Built-in sounds let you start playing without connecting a separate synthesizer.

Musicians can use Sonari on its own or send MIDI to a compatible digital audio workstation. It also includes sound design tools, a looper, recording features, and a keyboard-based playing mode. An optional iPhone companion adds motion, touch, and other controls. The Mac app offers a trial and requires Apple silicon with macOS 26 or later.
