# The Last Maul

> Build a maze and defend shared lives in a co-op tower game

The Last Maul is a browser tower-defense game that lets up to eight people defend together. Each player has a lane, but everyone draws from the same pool of lives. Placing towers changes the route enemies must travel, so designing the maze matters as much as choosing what will fire on it. Different races give players a choice of approaches across four acts of waves and boss encounters. New players can try the public beta directly in a browser before organizing a group for a longer session.
