# Tidey

> Review temporary Mac files and decide what to keep

Tidey is a Mac menu bar app for keeping Desktop and Downloads folders manageable. It watches for files that have been sitting in those locations and prompts users to review them in short sessions. A preview helps them decide whether to delete, keep, or skip each item.

Deleted files go to the Trash, while kept files can be moved into folders organized by year and month. Keyboard shortcuts make it possible to work through a collection quickly. Tidey focuses on making small cleanup decisions easier rather than requiring a complicated filing system. It works locally on the Mac and is offered as a one-time purchase.
