# Zume Editor

> Edit text, code, large files, and binary data in one native workspace

Zume Editor is a native desktop editor for text, source code, and binary files on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It combines multiple-cursor and column editing with project search, syntax highlighting, a hexadecimal view, and tools for working with large files. Integrated Git, terminal, SSH, and SFTP features keep common development tasks near the editor.

Additional views support CSV data, comparisons, and connected databases, while AI integration is available through MCP. Users can move between local documents and remote work without opening a separate application for each step. Zume Editor is in public beta, with downloadable builds and a stated expiry date for the current free beta period.
