Acyclic runs coding tasks as coordinated groups of agents. A developer supplies a task and project files through the command-line tool or dashboard, and the service divides the work across agents operating in separate sandboxes. Progress can be followed while the branches run, then the useful results are combined into a patch or pull request. The workflow supports applying a merged patch back to a local checkout and connecting an existing coding agent through MCP. It is designed for tasks that benefit from exploring or implementing several parts at once. Larger teams can discuss expanded swarm usage, while the public setup guide provides a starting path for running a first task.
