Upload files to your own object storage from a small desktop app

Aktar uploads files directly to a user's own S3-compatible storage and copies a shareable link to the clipboard. On Mac, users can drag files to the menu bar, paste clipboard content, or browse for an item. Destinations can include Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, and other compatible services.
The app supports link formats such as plain URLs, Markdown, and HTML, with multiple destinations for different projects. Additional tools include upload history, image conversion, duplicate detection, resumable transfers, and watched folders. Storage credentials are kept in the Mac's Keychain. The open-source Mac edition requires macOS 14 or later, with separate versions and integrations available for other platforms.
