Alias Bot creates custom group mentions inside Slack channels. A team can define an alias such as !devs or !oncall and assign the people who should receive that mention. The same alias can have different members in different channels, so a shared name can still reach the appropriate local team.

Users can create, update, and remove aliases as responsibilities change. When someone invokes an alias, the bot replies with the members it mentions, making the notification visible in the conversation. It is useful for rotating support duties, project groups, and other situations where colleagues need a stable group name without maintaining a manual list of people.
