Meet Arq

Arq backs up files from Mac and Windows computers to a storage destination you choose. Supported options include cloud accounts, local drives, network storage, and SFTP servers. It encrypts files before upload and keeps a version history for restoring an earlier copy through the app.

Filesystem snapshots provide a consistent view during backup. Compression, deduplication, and incremental transfers limit repeated data, while schedules, exclusions, retention settings, and bandwidth controls shape the job. The standalone app uses storage arranged separately, and Arq Premium includes storage. You can choose a destination and backup routine around the files and infrastructure you already use.
