Meet BetterZip

BetterZip opens, edits, and creates archives on a Mac. Users browse an archive's contents, add or rename files, and save changes without extracting and rebuilding the whole package. A file can also be edited in another application and returned to the archive. Preview tools inspect images and other contents before extraction.

Presets keep format, destination, encryption, and filtering choices together for repeated tasks. Finder integration and automation tools apply those settings from other workflows. Password and hash tools support protected packages and integrity checks. A collection of files can be assembled gradually, then prepared with the options needed by its recipient.
