BookWyrm

Meet BookWyrm

BookWyrm is a decentralized social network for tracking reading and discussing books. Members update their status when starting or finishing a book, post notes along the way, and set an annual reading goal. Reviews and casual commentary use audience settings that control who can see each post.

Discovery comes through other readers' activity and recommendations. Members join separate communities, which can connect with each other and with other ActivityPub services such as Mastodon. A reader can participate in a community that suits them while following people elsewhere in the network. The software is developed as a collaborative open-source project for communities that run the service.
