Directus

Add APIs and an editing workspace to a SQL database

Website

Meet Directus

Directus puts a visual content and data workspace over a database. Developers receive REST and GraphQL APIs while the database schema remains accessible, and other team members can edit records through the interface. The same records can feed a website, application, or broader business workflow.

Access policies define which users and connected tools may read or change data. Assets, workflows, and extensions add controls around that data, with an MCP server for compatible AI tools. Directus can run on a team's infrastructure or through Directus Cloud. A permitted record edit in the workspace becomes available through the APIs used by the connected application.
