Expensent finds receipts and invoices in a connected email inbox and organizes the next steps for handling them. Users can review earlier messages, forward a receipt to an accountant or bookkeeping application's receipt address, and create rules for similar invoices that arrive in the future. An action center separates items ready to send from those requiring a download or review.

The service uses a staged process that first checks message metadata and then examines likely invoices more closely. It is designed to reduce repetitive receipt collection while leaving users control over forwarding rules and exceptions. Supported destinations include common expense and accounting services.
