Manage AI agents across local and remote machines from one workspace
Define AI agents with versioned files in a Git repository

GitAgent is an open-source framework that stores an AI agent's identity, rules, memory, skills, and tools as files in a Git repository. Developers can review changes, create branches, compare versions, and restore earlier behavior using familiar development workflows. The agent definition stays separate from a particular model provider.
A Node.js SDK embeds agents in applications, while terminal, browser, voice, and messaging interfaces support personal-assistant use. The framework also includes workflow definitions, lifecycle hooks, scheduling, and human review controls. Teams can manage shared skills, preserve context between runs, and track configuration changes through commits. Its validation tools help inspect agent setup, but do not by themselves establish compliance with a regulatory regime.
