Turn natural speech into edited text in Mac applications
Dictate or translate speech directly into the active text field on a Mac

Lispr is a Mac menu bar app for dictating and translating speech into the application currently in use. Holding a keyboard shortcut starts dictation; adding another key switches to translation. The resulting text appears at the cursor, allowing users to write a message or document without copying output from a separate transcription window.
A custom vocabulary helps the app recognize names and specialized terms, while its insertion workflow restores the previous clipboard afterward. Lispr can be used without creating an account and offers a free plan with usage limits. Speech processing uses online services, so it is intended for connected dictation and translation rather than an entirely offline workflow.
