Meet Marked QL

Marked QL is a macOS Quick Look extension for previewing Markdown files without opening an editor. Selecting a supported document in Finder and pressing Space displays rendered text, tables, task lists, code blocks, and other Markdown elements. Its Apex processor combines several Markdown dialects in one preview engine.

MathJax handles mathematical notation, Mermaid renders diagrams, and syntax highlighting makes code easier to scan. Users can choose preview styles, follow system appearance, customize CSS, and control how front matter appears. Longer documents support table-of-contents navigation, and Quarto files have a dedicated processing mode. Marked QL works independently of the full Marked application, requires macOS 13 or later, and offers a trial before purchase.
