Meet Memdex

Memdex is a browser extension that saves AI conversations and helps reuse them in later chats. It supports services including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, keeping an encrypted conversation archive on the user's device. As someone types a new prompt, the extension detects matching keywords and offers relevant previous conversations as context.

Users choose which material to attach, reducing the need to find old threads and paste background information manually. The free tier provides manual saving and limited history access, while Pro adds automatic saving and broader archive access. Existing ChatGPT or Claude conversations can also be imported. Memdex supports Chromium-based browsers; Safari and Firefox support is described as planned.
