Meet MenuCheck

MenuCheck is an iPhone app that helps people review restaurant menus against their dietary preferences. Users photograph a menu or select an existing image, choose relevant preferences, and receive dish-by-dish guidance with explanations. Results can appear directly over the menu photo or in a list, making it easier to compare options at the table.

The app includes large text, high contrast, VoiceOver support, and a history of scans saved on the device. A limited number of scans is available before a subscription is needed. Its suggestions provide a starting point for questions about a meal; users still need to confirm ingredients and preparation with restaurant staff and follow their clinician’s guidance.
