Murmur

Meet Murmur

Murmur turns reporting from multiple newsrooms into short audio briefings for iPhone. It groups coverage of the same event, identifies developments since the previous edition, and explains them in an original spoken account. Each story retains links to the publishers behind it, so listeners can follow the underlying reporting when they want more detail.

Morning, midday, and evening editions serve different parts of the day. Listeners choose topics and a preferred briefing length, with background playback, adjustable speed, captions, and full transcripts included. The app offers an initial free period followed by a subscription, with no advertising or endless headline feed.
