Netlify is a platform for building and publishing web applications. You can connect a Git repository, deploy from a terminal, or upload a project folder. Repository changes trigger builds, and pull requests receive preview URLs so teammates can check a proposed update before it reaches the live site.

The platform combines site delivery with services for functions, data, images, identity, and AI features. Developers can configure their build workflow and connect application services without moving every part of the project into a separate deployment system. Previous deployments remain available for rollback when a new release needs to be undone.
