Meet OpenComputer
OpenComputer is a platform for deploying AI agents that run beyond a single chat interaction. Developers define an agent as a TypeScript function, choose a model and tools, and deploy it through a command-line interface. Each session receives a Linux environment with a shell, filesystem, packages, and network access for carrying out work.
The platform manages sessions, streaming, versions, schedules, and supported MCP connections. Sessions can be steered while running, paused when idle, and resumed with their context. Managed connections keep configured secrets outside the agent runtime and attach them to requests for the intended service. Templates cover tasks such as repository changes and market research. Usage is metered through model calls and machine time, with prepaid options available.
