Identify plants from photos and contribute observations to biodiversity research

Pl@ntNet is a plant identification app and citizen science project. You photograph a plant, submit the image, and compare suggested identifications to help work out what you have found. Its collections cover different geographic areas and themes, so an observation can be considered within a relevant group of plants.
The observations also contribute to a shared body of biodiversity information. Community review and group activities let participants do more than identify plants for themselves, while microprojects support focused collections for particular places or subjects. Researchers and developers can explore the project's data and API for work involving plant recognition.
