Meet Portt

Portt is an iPhone app that reimagines a photograph as a scene from another historical period. Users take or choose a photo, select a year, and receive an AI-generated version with altered buildings, clothing, vehicles, and visual style. The transformation aims to retain the original framing and subject while changing the surrounding era.

Results can be shared as before-and-after cards or morph videos that move through the selected years. Related fact cards and a curated collection of historical moments provide context for exploration. A home-screen widget surfaces moments associated with the date, offering another starting point for experimenting with a scene.
