Check golf grip position with a glove-mounted sensor
Meet SmartGrip by Umbrella Sports
SmartGrip is a wearable golf training aid from Umbrella Sports that clips onto a golf glove. Its accelerometer measures grip position and shaft angle before a shot, providing a visible signal to help a player check their setup. The compact sensor can be used while practicing indoors, at a driving range, or on the course.
The standard package contains the SmartGrip chip, a universal glove clip, and a quick-start guide, with versions for either glove hand. A companion app is available for iOS. The device is designed to work with a player's existing glove and support repeated practice of a consistent grip without requiring a bulky training attachment.
