Live translation and bilingual notes for conversations
A virtual microphone for translated speech and subtitles

Sokuji is an open-source translation app that sits between your microphone and the software you use to communicate. It can send your speech into a meeting in another language and translate incoming audio into subtitles or spoken output. Other participants use their normal meeting application without installing Sokuji themselves.
The desktop app provides system-level audio routing, while a browser extension supports selected meeting websites. Users can choose on-device models or connect supported cloud providers, add terminology instructions, and adjust subtitle displays. Sokuji also supports listening-only and face-to-face scenarios, making it useful for calls, presentations, recordings, and conversations where people need different languages.
