Meet Squints

Squints is a free Chrome extension for examining design decisions directly in the browser. Designers and frontend developers can inspect element dimensions and the spacing between them, drag out snapping rulers and guides, and overlay a column grid that is remembered for each site. Annotation tools add arrows, boxes, and notes to the page.

Color inspection returns common formats and the underlying token when available. Font inspection identifies what actually rendered along with its metrics. Motion tools slow animations and allow recorded sequences to be scrubbed frame by frame, helping users study transitions and communicate precise changes on a working interface.
