Reduce exaggerated room bass in Mac speaker playback

Unboom helps Mac users reduce bass frequencies that sound overly prominent in a room. A guided scan uses test tones to identify the resonance, then applies a reduction around that part of the frequency range. Users can compare the correction and choose its strength while listening through their speakers.
The app keeps separate profiles for rooms and speaker setups, with controls available from the menu bar. Supported audio-workstation workflows can use the same correction through a plug-in. Processing stays on the Mac, and headphones remain unaffected. Unboom is intended for people listening, editing podcasts, or producing music through speakers in everyday rooms.
