VolitionDrive helps drivers compare fuel options around a location or along a planned journey. Its Beacon view searches nearby stations by fuel type and radius, while Road Trip starts with a departure and destination to organize possible refueling stops. Drivers can choose the relevant fuel and adjust the vehicle profile before calculating a plan.

The planner accounts for estimated tank capacity, consumption, and the amount of fuel already aboard. An optional full-tank-on-arrival setting adds a final fill-up near the destination to the trip estimate. A timeline presents the resulting plan, and a published explanation of the algorithm gives users context for understanding how the suggested refueling strategy is calculated.
