Meet Yomi

Yomi is a reading-practice app for children aged five to nine. A child chooses a short story at an easy, medium, or hard level and reads it aloud to a virtual cat. Spoken words feed the character, while tapping a difficult word lets the child hear how it sounds.

The app includes a story library and a tool for creating a story from a chosen name, character, setting, and event. Its focus is giving children a reason to practice reading skills they are already learning, rather than replacing lessons or a teacher. Yomi is available on iOS and is presented without advertising or streak penalties. Parents can use it alongside their child's existing reading routine.
