Meet BackupMonitor

BackupMonitor watches the reports produced by existing backup software. After creating an account, a user receives a collection email address and forwards backup reports to it, either directly from the backup system or through an email rule. The service analyzes those messages for errors, warnings, and other signs that need attention.

Alerts are delivered by email or Pushover, while separate collection addresses help organize multiple sources. Because it works with emailed reports, it can sit alongside different backup products without replacing the software that makes the backups. Reports are retained for a limited period. The service monitors reported outcomes rather than independently proving that every stored backup can be restored.
